Day 8
In your own space, share a favorite piece of original canon (a TV episode, a song, a favorite interview, a book, a scene from a movie, etc) and explain why you love it so much. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
My favorite piece of Stargate canon is the O'Neill/Carter ship. Watching/reading interviews with the writers and directors, it wasn't something they originally planned. According to director Martin Wood, he looked through the camera lens during season 1 and knew the chemistry between Richard Dean Anderson and Amanda Tapping was something special. As frustrating as it was for shippers they kept the relationship within the bounds defined by the Air Force consultants. The result -- a perfect amount of UST with the occasional payoff. Like the following scene from Season 4's Window of Opportunity (one of my all-time favorite episodes.)

Day 9
In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I keep a link of Master Fics and Graphics postings stickied each year which is as far as I usually go in promoting works I've done. But in the spirit of the snowflake challenge ...
Hockey and Stars - SG-1 AU (Jack/Sam): This started as a one-shot for a challenge. But readers commented they wanted more, which was both flattering and surprising. I've added chapters sporadically over the last two years as the muse struck but I've set a goal for this month to bring the story to a conclusion.
Stranger in an Airport Bar - Stargate SG-1 & Hawaii Five0 crossover (Jack/Sam and Steve/Danny implied)- Written as a gift for a friend, it is my story with the highest number of kudos.
Subterfuge - Star Trek: TNG (Picard/Crusher) - written for fandom 5K. Normally I'm a "pantser" but for this one I tried some planning/plotting in advance.
