I honestly thought I had done the Snowflake Challenge before, but I think I was confusing it with the Squee Challenge (very similar). I've watched others on my friends/reading lists participate in the past and have enjoyed reading their entries. Starting off the year on a positive note, rediscovering and/or re-examining why I enjoy fandoms, meeting new friends and/or reconnecting with old ones - are just some of the reasons I decided to take the challenge this year.

I'm looking forward to taking part in it this year, and hope others will enjoy it too!

It’s always good to start the year with rediscovering what makes fandom such an enjoyable thing.

So true. I just think of all the friends I've made over the years that have stayed friends even after the interest in the fandom has waned.
