Today's challenge is for pimping communities. I don't have any fandom specific comms but I will pimp a few of my favorite general, writing, challenge, and bingo comms.

Putting them underneath cuts by category.

Technically snowflake should go under challenges, but it is the comm that I find new comms/friends with when I'm not too lazy to participate.

fandomcalendar - I watch it to see who is posting active challenges. They have excellent tags though if you just want to browse.

I have two main writing comms that I adore. The first is active on LJ. The second is a yearlong writing comm - signups for 2020 end on Jan 15th so if you're interested please be aware of the deadline.

I'm addicted to challenges and in particular bingos. I've listed a few of my favorites here. (I've left out the exchanges/bangs because I'm not sure which of those other than

chocolateboxcomm are still active. I like exchanges and big bangs, but I can't see them fitting into my schedule this year.)

These are in no particular order:

trope_bingo - 2 rounds per year. Round 14 open for sign ups

hc_bingo Hurt/Comfort themed cards. signups usually start around June 10

genprompt_bingo No deadlines. New cards/rounds quarterly I think.

allbingo - in addition to monthly bingo challenges, you can bring cards from other challenges. Also, a great link to a bingo card generator so you can make your own cards.

fffc Weekly/monthly challenges posted on Fridays. I keep meaning to be more active with this one, but I joined just before reaching challenge burnout a few years ago. Luckily they are still active so I have another chance.

Nothing But Reading Challenges (Hoping the link works ...) I've signed up for about 3 so far. Hoping I don't overdue it, lol.
